ABOUT WENDY COLLIN SORIN
Wendy Collin Sorin received her B.F.A. in printmaking from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1993. she later studied waterless lithography with Nik Semenoff at the University of Saskatchewan, and taught his experimental methods at Zygote Press in Cleveland, Ohio, and at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Her current work incorporates drawing and collage to create patterns of color, shape, and text informed by current events, found materials , and travel.
Since her move to Durham, Sorin has had four solo exhibitions and participated in a number of group shows. Her work is in numerous private and public collections including The Ruth and Marvin Sackner Archive of Concrete and Visual Poetry (Miami Beach, FL); Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript; Yale University (New Haven, CT); Brown University Library (Providence, RI); Poetry/Rare Books Collection, State University of New York, Buffalo; Hahn, Loeser & Parks LLP. Cleveland; Ohio Building Commission, Columbus, Ohio; The Progressive Insurance Company, Mayfield Village, Ohio; and the City of Raleigh Municipal Collection.
