Nanny Studios is the collection of collaborative
works by Diane Amato and Lisa Morton. Diane is a photographer. Lisa makes
cut paper collages from her drawings. They also combine their media, visions
and personalities to create collaborative works. The work they produce together
involves an unexpected use of recognizable, familiar objects. This allows
them the freedom to express humor, sadness and even horror at accepted popular
culture. Diane and Lisa have been working together for over two years producing
these staged photographs. They do not use Photoshop or any computers to
generate their images. Each prop is either found or made, assembled on a
miniature stage and photographed in the studio. Photographs are signed, numbered and produced in limited editions of 50. Prints are available in 11" x 14" or 16"{x 20" for any image on exhibition. |
